Greetings!
Yes, it's true that this is our final update of 2005... We
thought to wrap things up we would share some trends that we are
seeing in how truckside advertising is being used. There are new
creative and different uses popping up all the time - but here are a
couple of here you will find a couple of the most common.
| SUBSTITUTE FOR TRADITIONAL |
 |
|
It used to be that there was little room in a budget for
"alternative media" - but we now see the most standard use of
truckside as a substitute for traditional outdoor.
Example: A client may have a media mix that calls
for a 50 showing (GRP) which they will utilize a 25
showing of truckside and a 25 showing of posters or rotary
bulletins.
|
| VIRTUAL PRESENCE |
 |
|
Delivery vehicles have advertised the products they are
carrying for a long time... Now delivery vehicles are
instrumental in creating a "virtual fleet" for advertisers by
creating an assumed relationship.

| WORD ON THE STREET |

- “The dazzling graphics and high-tech imagery used on
trucks today are garnering local and national media
attention. Many brands, including McDonald’s, Saab, the
Texas State Lottery and Sprint PCS have successfully
implemented truck side advertising and mobile billboard
campaigns... to reach their target audiences where they
work, play and congregate.” Inside Outdoor
Magazine
“Mobile billboard displays boost name recognition 15
times greater than any other form of advertising.”
Product Acceptance and Research, Inc.
- “Impact ratings of Mobile Media Trucks scored higher
than all other outdoor combined.” Thibodeaus

ADVERTISING on vehicles is by no means a new idea!
It is however only recently that it is becoming more accepted
along the lines of a traditional-use medium and being seen as
a more common part of the typical media mix.
TECHNOLOGY has greatly advanced in recent years and
provides us with the ability to track, monitor and
measure the results of mobile advertising. Global
Positioning Systems (GPS) enable real-time tracking and bring
validity to truckside advertising.
GRAPHICS are produced at a high resolution and are
directly in the line of sight, unlike many other
outdoor mediums that are just not as likely to be seen. With
LogoMotion, all four sides of the vehicle have an ad panel
which creates a 360 degree impression and increases
visibility. |
